I first ran across Chain Rxn on Facebook. At work, everyone in the Marketing Department started playing it. It became a pretty interesting competition as we all tried to out-do each other.
The game itself is simple. As ‘balls’ move randomly around the screen, your job is to explode as many as possible with one (yes, one) well placed starter ball. A moving ball explodes when it collides with the single ball you place. When a ball explodes, it grows to a larger size thereby increasing your chances for a collision. The goal is to create a chain rection (hence the name) where a single, well-placed ball causes all the other balls to explode. As you move up in levels, the number of moving balls increases and the number you need to explode increases as well.
The iPhone version of Chain Rxn is wired into Facebook and allows users to use Facebook Connect to submit scores to the online social platform. This way, you can play Chain Rxn on Facebook or on your iPhone (or iPod touch) and kill twice as much free time!
As near as I can tell, the game is an exact duplicate of the version found on Facebook. It looks the same and is equally addictive. While the concept might sound lame (I’m not sure how well I explained the game play…), it really is a challenging game you’ll want to master.
