The word from Cillingo (via Touch Arcade) is that an upcoming release will bring back game play similar to Gauntlet. Everyone in their 30s should remember Gauntlet as a classic hack and slash adventure in every Chuckie Cheese from coast to coast. Chillingo weighed in on the upcoming release.
You find yourself in the deepest level of a dungeon – you must seek out and destroy the Quinotaur (a 5 horned Dragon). The beast has ruled over 1,000 years and – through the power of The Relic – re-animates the dead and draws power from them.
The game is said to offer multi-player options (1-4) as you do close-quarters battle with zombies, skeletons, huge spiders and more. If that doesn’t sound like a great way to kill time, I’m not sure what does. The game is scheduled to release in November. No price point was offered.
