Ngmoco’s ‘Eliminate’ to Be Free

by admin on October 16, 2009

Ngmoco has announced their upcoming, much anticipated first person shooter, Eliminate, will be released as a free app. This comes on the heals of Apple’s announcement that free apps can now charge for in-app purchases. Eliminate has been submitted to Apple and is currently awaiting approval.

It is widely known that Eliminate would carry in-app purchases for energy. The energy allows the player to earn additional credits. Once the player’s energy is depleted, they can continue to play, but will not accumulate credits. Credits are used to acquire equipment upgrades and for leveling up. During game play, a player is given an auto-renewable energy source. However, once this energy runs out, the player must either wait for the energy to recharge or purchase more energy.

Touch Arcade posted a hands-on preview of Eliminate that explains the system in detail and also gives impressions of the gameplay.
